For Mitzi B. Kirsch, real estate has always been about more than selling homes—it’s about investing in people, relationships, and the community she loves. Her deep commitment to giving back has shaped not only her career but also her life outside of real estate.

Over the years, Mitzi has dedicated her time and talents to numerous local organizations that make a difference in the Spartanburg community. She has served on the Cancer Association of Spartanburg & Cherokee Counties, the Upstate Family Resource Center Board, the Interim Hospice Board, the Upstate School of Business Advisory Board, and the Truist Bank Advisory Board. She has also served as Fire Commissioner and current Chair Member for the North Spartanburg Fire District, demonstrating her continued dedication to leadership and public service.

Her philanthropic efforts extend beyond board service. In 2019, Mitzi took to the dance floor to participate in Dancing with the Stars Spartanburg, raising over $611,000 to support the Cancer Association of Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties. She also participated in the Over the Edge fundraising events in 2019 and 2021—rappelling down a high-rise building to raise funds for local cancer patients and their families.

Most recently, Mitzi and her son, Blake, teamed up to support the Charles Lea Center through its highly anticipated Lip Sync Battle fundraiser. Together, they set a goal of raising $50,000 for the creation of the Charles Lea Center Nature Preserve at Lake Blalock, an innovative and inclusive outdoor space designed to be fully accessible for individuals of all abilities. Thanks to overwhelming community support, they surpassed their goal—raising more than $68,000. Altogether, the event brought in over $870,000 for the Charles Lea Foundation. One of the most memorable moments came when several individuals from the Charles Lea Center joined performers on stage, a powerful reminder of the joy and purpose behind the cause.

Mitzi’s unwavering commitment to philanthropy reflects her belief that success means using your platform to make a difference. Whether she’s raising funds, serving on a board, or volunteering her time, Mitzi approaches every opportunity with the same passion, compassion, and determination that define her real estate career.

For Mitzi, community service isn’t just an act of giving—it’s a way of life.
