Mitzi B. Kirsch, Realtor®, Broker, ABR, GRI, CRS
Mitzi Kirsch has grown up in real estate. Her mother, Peggy Blackwell, is the Broker/Owner of CENTURY 21 Blackwell & Company Realty, Inc., and has sold real estate for more than forty years. Mitzi’s career began as a teenager working in her mother’s office, learning every facet of the business from the ground up. Over the past thirty-five years, she has built a reputation as one of the Upstate’s most trusted and successful real estate professionals, specializing in residential, land, and commercial properties.
A graduate of the Wyatt Institute of Real Estate and USC–Spartanburg with a B.S. in Management, Mitzi also holds multiple professional designations, including CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), ABR (Accredited Buyer’s Representative), GRI (Graduate, REALTOR® Institute), and Broker. Her commitment to education and excellence has set her apart in the industry. Within the CENTURY 21 System, Mitzi has earned numerous accolades, including the Double Centurion and Centurion Awards, and she has consistently ranked among the Top 10 agents nationwide. Locally, she has been recognized as the #1 Producing Agent in the Spartanburg MLS for multiple years, including 2022, and has led the #1 Producing Team for both CENTURY 21 Blackwell & Company and CENTURY 21 in the state of South Carolina.
Mitzi is the proud mother of two sons, Blake (24) and Brice (23)—her greatest joys in life. She and her family attend Boiling Springs First Baptist Church.
Community involvement, philanthropy, and service to others have always been a cornerstone of Mitzi’s life. Over the years, she has served on numerous boards, including the Cancer Association of Spartanburg & Cherokee Counties, the Upstate Family Resource Center, Interim Hospice Board, and the Upstate School of Business Advisory Board. She currently serves as Fire Commissioner for the North Spartanburg Fire District, where she is also a chair member.
When her son Blake invited her to join him in supporting the Charles Lea Center by performing in their Lip Sync Battle fundraising event, Mitzi didn’t hesitate. Together, they set out to raise $50,000 for the Charles Lea Center Nature Preserve at Lake Blalock—an eight-acre parcel gifted to the Center that will become a fully accessible outdoor space for individuals of all abilities. Thanks to their efforts and the community’s generosity, they surpassed their goal, raising over $68,000. In total, the event raised more than $870,000 for the Charles Lea Foundation. One of the evening’s most heartwarming moments came when individuals from the Center joined the performers on stage, filling the room with joy and inspiration.
Mitzi has also supported the Cancer Association of Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties through her participation in Dancing with the Stars Spartanburg, where she helped raise over $611,000 in 2019, and by taking part in Over the Edge in 2019 and 2021.
An only child to Coy and Peggy Blackwell, Mitzi often says that real estate chose her. She began selling homes while in college, and it “just clicked.” More than three decades and thousands of closings later, her passion for helping people find their place to call home remains stronger than ever. Driven, experienced, and deeply committed to her clients, Mitzi believes that every transaction is about more than a sale—it’s about making someone’s dream a reality.
